The SOS Children Community Center (SOS—“Save Our Sons”) was founded by Chicagoland pastor and activist Melvin Flowers to provide young people with a safe, supportive place to grow. SOS offers recreation, academic enrichment, youth development, and career education that helps students build confidence and plan for the future. This banquet fundraiser supports the expansion of SOS and the building of a new center in Harvey, Illinois. During the evening, we will also award four scholarships to students continuing their education at postsecondary institutions.
